Overview

This role is accountable for assisting in developing and executing the marketing strategies and activities for all our ventures to contribute to achieving our business objectives. This includes adoption of solutions and building brand affinity.

This role is reporting to the Head of Marketing and will work closely with business leaders, the head of Communications, the social media manager and the content team.

We’re looking for a results-driven, high-energy Marketing Specialist to actively support manage a series of exciting ventures. The candidate will need to be a 360-marketing evangelist from a content, creative/acquisition and implementation perspectives. A high level of practical familiarity is needed in marketing automations and paid media activities.

Job Description

  • Assisting in developing marketing plans which clearly articulate the business objectives, audience targets, messaging and tactics.
  • Assist in development of strategies and activities across owned, earned and paid channels in both traditional and digital channels.
  • Assisting in developing marketing plans, with support from HoM (strategic input), social media manager and other teams’ member (research, analysis, data visualization).
  • Deploy marketing campaigns and own their implementation from ideation, execution, optimisation and analysis
  • Measure and optimize outcomes to drive efficiency of the marketing budget across digital and non-digital channels (i.e. print, conferences, events)
  • Work with developers, internal creatives and agencies to create wireframes and market facing creative assets i.e. websites, digital and non-digital
  • Develop key messaging (message house) and drive consistent use of agreed messaging (marketing/ventures) in co-ordination with comms team
  • Ensure ongoing engagement with venture leads to understand key business drivers, sales pipeline core marketing deliverables to help drive venture growth

Provide ongoing visibility to the business regarding the effectiveness of marketing activities (ROI) and optimization activities.

  • Develop monthly reports and align metrics to sales/business objectives

Look for opportunities to drive marketing effectiveness and efficiency and to streamline internal process and procedures

  • Two years or more experience in driving digital campaigns including SEO/SEM, display, DSP and retargeting
  • Proven ability and experience in driving successful demand generation campaigns
  • Experience to determine key messaging and develop creative assets for tactical executions
  • Desire to develop and foster positive relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient, effective delivery of campaigns in a timely and brand-consistent manner

Required Skills

  • Passion for creativity and marketing flair
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and proofing skills
  • Strong self-management skills and being able to work to tight deadlines
  • Professional and friendly manner, with the ability to build mutual and respectful relationships
  • An ability to develop, nurture and manage positive working relationships
  • Strong understanding of Internet marketing specifically online advertising and its interrelationship with social media, SEM and website development.
  • A demonstrated ability to project manages a range of projects and effectively prioritise competing demands
  • Good Microsoft office experience (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in Google Analytics, Google AdWords and any trading desk platform
  • Strong experience in marketing automation such as HubSpot
  • Experience with WordPress or similar CMS
  • Data-driven marketing experience and marketing automation tools
  • Customer Journey Mapping experience

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a communications or marketing discipline

Work Experience:

  • Minimum two to three years practical experience in the areas of marketing, digital media & copywriting

About the role

As the Chief Marketing Officer, you will be responsible for the overall marketing and customer strategy for the organisation. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will have strategic oversight of the marketing, brand and digital assets for the business. Over time you will build a ‘world class’ global marketing and e-commerce team.

As the Chief Marketing Officer you will need to roll your sleeves up and get your hands dirty. Lakeba is a fast-paced environment, experiencing accelerated growth and requiring an all hands-on deck approach. You will need to be strategic as well as technically sound, highly organised, able to juggle competing priorities, methodical and disciplined in your approach, rounded out by an empathetic, human-centric approach.

Fluid, as well as adaptable in your approach, you value and welcome team thinking and collaboration, balanced with creative leadership grounded in data rich evidence and strategic thinking. Sound knowledge and experience working in the technology sector in general and in the Fintech sector more specifically, is mandatory for this role.

This role requires a candidate that can demonstrate proven ability to deliver multi-focus strategic thinking and drive the marketing team to achieve executional excellence across the full business, both at corporate (Lakeba Group) and venture level.

In this role you will work closely with external partners to help support the efficiency and impact of strategy and marketing/advertising campaigns.

About you

To be considered for this role you will have a minimum of 10 years of experience as a marketing leader, supported by a demonstrated and in-depth background in integrated marketing and e-commerce in the technology sector. You will have knowledge of segmentation, building and managing databases, as well as targeted CRM acquisition strategies and campaigns. You have a reputation for innovating new and diverse marketing channels designed to deliver positive brand and business impact.

Ideally, you will have a broad and diverse background in the types of organisations you’ve worked for, large and small, with some exposure in working for a startup to scale business. You will have experience in the B2C and B2B sectors and will be well positioned to sit on an executive leadership team where you will add wider value from a commercial and operational perspective within the business.

Multimedia Specialist

About the role

We’re looking for a results-driven, high-energy Multimedia Specialist to actively manage a series of Multimedia activities across our products.

The position is full-time on-going, working 38 hours per week at our Head Office in Manly, NSW.

Job Description:

  • Analysing and collecting requirements from internal and external stakeholders
  • Creating multimedia User Interface designs for web and mobile screens in liaison with Product Managers, Business Managers and Developers
  • Working with Product Managers to design the User Experience on web or mobile versions
  • Developing digital designs, animations, presentations, 3D objects using the latest software packages such as Sketch, Adobe XD or similar
  • Exporting digital assets for technical teams using tools like Zeplin
  • Developing websites for company products/ ventures using HTML/ CSS and Javascript
  • Assisting technical teams in development of web applications
  • Assisting System and Network Admins in publishing designs and websites on servers
  • Supporting QA team with preparing acceptance criteria for digital products
  • Assisting Product Managers in preparing strategies for User Interface of software products
