About the role

Product Manager at Lakeba is responsible for working with the Customers, the CEO and the Development and design teams to ensure the product is built/updated and improved to meet the needs of the market, and the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Workshop with Customers and Venture representatives to elicit a common understanding of Business and System requirements and scope of project work
  • Analyse and document business/functional processes and System requirements using standard analysis methodologies and tools
  • Convert business needs into functional designs or solutions using knowledge of Products system capabilities, rules, and architecture
  • Complete and oversee ongoing project(s) work stream deliverables including quality control/sign off for area of accountability
  • Creation of the Project Backlog and prioritise these features/ issues reported
  • Liaise with UX/UI Designer, Developers, Solutions Architect, Vendors to ensure the proper communication and execution of requirements
  • Prepare documentation such as process maps, data flow diagrams, requirements documents and functional specifications as required for the venture/ project
  • Working on online web, mobile and R&D projects
  • Follow Agile practices and act as a coach to the team ensuring the same is followed within all projects
  • Manage the performance of test functions as required
  • Participate in resource planning and management for in house UI experts and developers
  • Work with venture Operations and Support Teams to ensure customer issues and product limitations are identified and feed back into the product improvement/development cycle
  • Identify process and product issues and identify ways to improve efficiency and/or reduce costs by streamlining systems or making product enhancements

Required Skills

  • At least 3 years of experience in end-to-end product management including working on new initiatives to expand user base of existing product
  • Experience with Lean, Design Thinking and Agile methods to uncover user needs
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage stakeholders and solve problems in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to enable to generate insights, identify new business opportunities and provide advice on how to optimise these opportunities
